Lamar’s Landing

Lamar’s Landing is a spring opening located in the pond floor not far from Hidey Hole. The entrance has long been obstructed by cypress logs and debris.
Despite multiple attempts, access has not been achieved.

Geological Context
The spring appears to discharge from limestone beneath the pond basin, similar to other Merritt’s Mill systems.
However, the entrance has been blocked by natural debris for many years, preventing assessment of interior structure.
Structure & Layout
The visible opening is small and heavily obstructed. Large submerged cypress logs create a natural barrier that prevents safe or practical access to any potential passage beyond.
Because the entrance has not been cleared, the interior layout remains undocumented.
Exploration History
Multiple attempts have been made to evaluate access to Lamar’s Landing. Due to the size and number of cypress logs blocking the entrance, entry has not been achieved.
No surveyed passage has been documented within the system.
